Avidex is seeking to fill the position of a Customer Support Technician. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with the Support Manager, other company resources, manufacturers, and customers to maintain and support audiovisual systems. The successful candidate will:
Have a high school diploma, an Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred
Have a minimum 4 years' experience within the audio visual industry; post-secondary education may be substituted for experience
Understand and demonstrate intermediate networking skills, have an intermediate understanding of audiovisual control systems, setting up audio and video conferencing systems, setting audio gain stages and adjusting common audio equipment and video display systems
Be able to work before or after normal working hours at the customer's facility as well as overtime with little to no advance notice
Be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
Be able to meet the company's driving requirements
Desired characteristics include:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent computer skills including proficiency using Microsoft Windows and MS Office and basic networking skills
Willingness to learn, exceed customer's expectations and strong work ethic
