Responsibilities:
The Clinical Data Flow and Technology (CDFT) department within Biometrics and Advanced Analytics is responsible for
Standards Influence, define, and instantiate core and therapeutic area standards for broader reusability and drive toward consistency; understand, influence, and incorporate industry standards (CDASH, SDTM, ADaM, ODM).
CDF Technologies and Process Define, Implement and Manage the processes and technologies, (i.e., InForm, CIS, ClinTrial, Integrations, SDD, CDI, and niche statistical software) to support the Clinical Data Flow from data collection through analysis/integrated databases/submission deliverables.
Portfolio Support the portfolio by enabling delivery of observed and analysis data at the study along with delivery of PK data sets, Integrated Data Bases and submission deliverables.
People - Providing solution consultation to support CDF processes utilizing process, technology, standards, vendor management, data and regulatory expertise/knowledge, e.g. eSource, CFR 21 Part 11, guidance documents.
The role of the Clinical Data Flow and Technology Business Consultant - Technology is to manage complex projects for the CDFT business application support team which supports multiple technologies within the organization. Key responsibilities include implementing and supporting CDFT systems and Tools, and providing consultation on the selection of appropriate technology solutions for the supporting business. Objectives will be achieved by developing a strong understanding of the supporting business processes and application support requirements, providing influence at multiple levels within the business, individual contribution, and by partnering with Quality and IT where appropriate.
Coordinate and lead the support of existing technology and tools used both within CDFT and across multiple functions. (40%)
Understand business processes and support needs across all departments within CDFT.
Partner with IT to assist with the implementation of CDFT technology needs.
Develop and maintain a global power user network for the supported applications.
Partner with vendors and IT in order to enable appropriate technology for external business partners.
Assist with the development and maintain metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of support delivery.
Identify and resolves quality issues related to system, tools, and technology.
Partner with IT and
computer
Systems Quality to develop appropriate validation deliverables for software and tools.
Provides proactive and timely communications to the business regarding current systems strategies and issues.
Develop and continually improve business processes, including operational support metrics and customer satisfaction surveys
Have an awareness of the modernization efforts within the CDFT organization.
Facilitate discussions to determine key business needs and possible technology solutions.
Appropriately challenge and influence cross-functionally.
Effectively translate complex technical problems and solutions to a non-technical audience; including CDFT leadership. Ensure proper business requirements have been defined for all IT related projects by partnering with appropriate departments with CDFT.
Ensure systems are meeting defined business requirements through coordinated testing and monitoring efforts.
Assist with the development of detailed project plans that are timely and feasible.
Oversee work of subject matter experts in the implementation of modernization changes.
Assist with the management of existing vendor relationships for systems support.
Assist with the determination of priorities of projects in collaboration with CDFT management when competing for limited resources.
Provide technical assistance to the SAS Drug Development (SDD) Team. (20%)
Lead SDD support efforts by partnering with appropriate IT and Business partners to resolve complex, technical and process related issues.
Development of support documentation and training tools.
Assist with system research Collect system requirements and respond to customer needs.
Basic
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
Four or more years of experience in Information Systems or Global Medical & Regulatory
information technology
.
Four or more years experience in leading IT related projects and/or teams to achieve superior business results.
Strong information technology background.

This position is not permanent. It is for a fixed duration for up to 4 years.
