Responsibilities:
The position is responsible for the daily support of the Industrial Hygiene and Safety function for LRL at Lilly Technology Center in Indianapolis. The associate is responsible for ensuring that the goals of a safe and healthy work environment are actively pursued in an effective and conscientious manner. Provides tactical assurance of compliance with all laws, statutes, regulations and appropriate standards at all locations for areas related to exposure control and containment of potent processes. Actively promotes the safety culture across the organization by placing a primary focus on accident prevention, hazard assessment and employee occupational safety and health.
Provide Daily support for the following program areas:
Respiratory Protection Program
GHS/ Hazard Communications
Personal protective equipment
Hearing conservation
Industrial Hygiene surveys, reports and evaluations
Containment Engineering implementation
Conduct Training including Respiratory Protection Training and Fit testing, New Employee Orientation, Lab Safety and PPE Usage.
Support ongoing operations needs in Pilot Plants and Laboratories related to Health and Safety.
Manages a wide variety of Industrial Hygiene projects.
Communicate hazards to staff/ management and influence change when necessary.
Basic
Qualifications:
BS/MS in Industrial Hygiene, Health and Safety Environment, Engineering or Sciences, or other related areas of study closely aligned to Health and Safety Environment or Risk Management.
Experience managing safety and health programs in research and development environment.
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for these positions.
Additional Skills/Preferences:
The ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and to work as a team memberis critical for this position.
Demonstrated skills in project management, leadership and self-motivation.
Knowledge of local Government HSE Acts, Policies, Regulations, Codes and Practices in the regions that Lilly LRL operates.
Attention to detail and ability to be flexible depending on operational needs.
Effective communication skills (oral, written, presentation and negotiation) appropriate for all levels in the organization and a willingness to share information.
A self-motivated, action oriented, high energy, team player with demonstrated ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative organizational culture where the primary decision-making process is building consensus.
Proven ability to lead, motivate and achieve in a decentralized, matrix organization.

Additional Information:
Available for business travel and extended working hours when required.
This position is not permanent. It is for a fixed duration for up to 4 years.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
