This is an exciting opportunity for a QA
looking for an opportunity to take over a pretty stable, manual QA team but be able to bring new ideas for QA process improvement initiatives and have leadership responsibilities over all QA projects for at least 2 different business units. This person should have experience managing at least a mid size team and have solid experience building a positive/productive team culture, have ways to keep their team motivated and develop training plans for staff. This person will not have budget responsibilities but will be responsible for tracking resource capacity models and providing estimates for projects. Someone with a strong background in project management, project and software development lifecycles will add a lot of value. This role offers the chance to be part of a shared
organization where they are surrounded by other QA management peers that work collectively to deliver QA services to an enterprise organization.
Required Skills:
Must have at least 2-3 years experience IT management experience
Experience either as a hands on manual QA tester in the past OR QA Project Management experience OR QA management experience
Must have experience managing at least 6-12 direct reports
Must have experience creating a test/project plans from scratch
Experience and strong familiarity with QA testing best practices within an Waterfall development methodology
Must feel comfortable interfacing with all parties on project team daily including PMs, developers, business stakeholders in daily team meetings
Must be vocal and proactive on assigned projects including seeking out tasks and contributing without prompt on team/project discussions
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills including being able to effectively communicate with QA testers, peers, project managers, developers, business users and IT leadership/executives
High energy, strong sense of urgency, self motivated and be able to work well under pressure or deadlines
Experience doing resource capacity models and creation of estimations for QA or other relevant technical work when scoping out a project
Experience developing
training plans and giving evaluations

Desired Skills:
Ideal candidate would have a strong background in project management and possibly a PMP certification
Experience managing offshore or near shore resources a huge plus
Strongly desire someone with experience with testing tools such as HP Quality Center or Rational ClearQuest
Bachelors degree
Knowledge or exposure to performance or automated testing best practices a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
