Key Details:
Shift:
2nd shift (4:
30 pm - 3:
30 am EST) from Monday to Thursday.
Overtime:
Occasional pre-scheduled Fridays based on seniority and hours.
Responsibilities:
This role entails supervising 30-100 employees in a manufacturing environment, overseeing both high-volume production and low-volume complex work cells.
Specific duties include:
Developing and leading a team to achieve operational, quality, and continuous improvement goals through training, coaching, discipline, and effective communication.
Advocating for the use of continuous improvement tools to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, improve quality, and minimize scrap.
Successfully implementing product and engineering changes.
Ensuring strict adherence to environmental, health, and safety policies and initiatives, prioritizing safety when assigning work.
Monitoring work order progress to ensure quality and timely completion.
Maintaining accurate timecards and overtime records.
Cultivating a positive working relationship with the union by adhering to the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Production/Manufacturing:
Overseeing quality in-process and final inspection processes for fabrication and assembly.
Safety Protocols:
Ensuring compliance with safety regulations including the use of safety shoes, safety glasses, ear plugs, and sleeves.
Qualifications:
Previous leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to motivate and lead employees effectively.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong organizational abilities and capability to multitask in a dynamic setting.
Proficiency in using software applications such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.
