Established in 1998 at Indiana University, the GlobalNOC's mission is to advance the future of research, education, and the public interest through the support and evolution of networks. With our staff of 120 plus more, we provide comprehensive contracted network management services to over 20 large-scale networks. Job Summary
  • Leads planning and implementation of complex IT projects involving university staff from different teams and external partners on interrelated project tasks.
  • Designs, creates, executes, and manages advanced project work plans and work-flow documents; establishes project timelines and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Manages budget and monitors progress of projects at highest levels to ensure that quality and cost constraints are met.
  • Reports and documents project milestones to share with leaders, stakeholders, and/or project partners.
  • Makes recommendations to leadership to improve project management approaches and processes.
  • Researches and stays up-to-date with IT project management best practices, approaches, and trends.
  • Creates and fosters relationships with key project stakeholders and service owners to ensure functional user expectations and requirements are articulated and integrated.
  • Often provides guidance and support to less experienced peers.

EDUCATION
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in related field

WORK EXPERIENCE
Required
  • 5 years technical project management experience

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES
Preferred
  • PMP Project Management Professional Certification upon date of hire

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
Work Location
Bloomington, Indiana OR Indianapolis, Indiana.
This position is eligible for remote work within the United States, subject to change in the future based on university policy and business needs.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
