Job Description:
To serve as the overall lead for Traffic Practice in the Midwest.
The role for this position will be to serve as a key member of the Midwest leadership, promoting our goals and objectives, alongside colleagues serving as Discipline Leads and Project Managers and reporting to the Area Manager.

Responsibilities:
Prepare, coordinate, and supervise traffic engineering design, analysis and modeling tasks and provide traffic discipline support to other Discipline Leads and Project ManagersCoordinate overall traffic backlog, schedules, budgets, and deadlinesTrain and manage traffic resources including staff workloads, career planning, individual development plans, including one-on-one conversations, salary recommendations, etc.
Actively engage with Traffic Engineering Technical Organization within Parsons to share or seek resources as neededCreate a challenging professional environment of innovation, opportunity, development, and continuous improvement for the Traffic team focused on staff growth and succession planningPlan, monitor and ensure compliance with scope, schedule and budgetary constraints on multiple projectsLead/support (as appropriate) the development of Traffic Engineering and TSMO Design portfolioServe as Traffic Discipline Lead on pursuits and opportunities with DOTs and other clients in the Central Area (East, Mid, West)Support Design-Build and major project in other Areas/OfficesADDITIONAL GOALS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in Parsons' Traffic Engineering Technical Organization to establish internal professional network.
Parsons Infrastructure Technical Organization (ITO) facilitates seamless sharing of lessons learned, resources, expertise, and backlog across offices.
Grow your stature within the ITO in the near/long termSupport or lead traffic engineering tasks for other offices within the Midwest states.
Strategize and engage in hiring decisions to achieve organic growth.
Identify and develop high-potential talent.
Participate in strategizing, storyboarding, writing, and reviewing proposals become an integral part of the team's successParticipate in Business Development strategy meetings as neededEngage and serve in leadership positions within industry organizations, with specific subcommittee involvement at relevant professional organizations including ACEC, ITE, ASCE, and others.
Seek opportunities to make presentations or write articles.
Encourage others in the team to do the same.
Maintain current knowledge of project pipeline for key clientsREQUIREMENTS:
4-year degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) and 15 years or more of related work experience in traffic engineering and analysisProfessional Engineer (PE) registration is requiredPTOE certification is highly desirable, but not requiredExperience interfacing with DOTs within the Midwest is essentialSolid foundational knowledge of basic traffic analysis and design software such as Synchro, Vissim, Rodel, MicroStation and othersTransportation Systems Management and Operations (TSMO) experience is desirable, but not requiredMinimum Clearance Required to Start:

Salary Range:
$140,700.
