Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant/Nurse Anesthetist - Weekend Nights (IU Health Methodist Hospital)
Indiana University Health Physicians is seeking a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant or Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist in Indianapolis, IN!
Position Highlights:
- Participate in the growth and expansion of the anesthetist profession within the adult academic health center
- Involvement in student, resident and fellow training, including a faculty appointment
- Full-Time, Weekend Night Shift
- Friday - Sunday, 6:
00pm-7:
00am
- Friday - Sunday, 6:
- No call required.
- Combination of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities including:
ENT, GYN, ERCP, ECT, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, general, thoracic and cardiac - Procedures include:
IV placement, airway management, arterial & central cath placement, general & regional anesthesia
Qualifications:
- Must hold current ACLS and PALS certifications
- Provider licensed in Indiana or eligible for medical licensure in Indiana
Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant:
- Must have graduated with a Master s degree from a CAAHEP accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant Program
- Must have passed the Certifying Examination for Anesthesiologist Assistants or the CDQ examination and hold a current certification
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist:
- Must have graduated from Master s level Nurse Anesthesia program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA)
- Must have passed the National Certification Examination (NCE) and hold a current certification from the Council of Certification of Nurse Anesthetists

Hospital Overview
IU Health Methodist Hospital is a regional healthcare leader through its commitment to excellence, accessibility and preeminence.

With 1,000 beds, IU Health Methodist Hospital is a large tertiary referral center with over 130 ICU beds.
It serves as the largest trauma center in Indianapolis, as well as a highly subspecialized center for cardiovascular surgery, thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, lung transplantation, and neurocritical care.
IU Health is building a new downtown hospital and campus, which will consolidate operations of the adjacent IU Health Methodist and University Hospitals.
Construction for the new hospital is well underway and set to open in late 2027.
It will feature three 16-story towers with 864 beds.
IU School of Medicine is also constructing a medical education and research building directly east of the new hospital.
