Wordpress Development Team Lead
Ferguson Digital, with offices in Fort Wayne and Indianapolis, Indiana, is a custom software development organization that is expanding its team to meet the needs of existing and new clients.From websites, mobile apps, e-commerce applications, enterprise software, data warehouses and pipelines, to AI-powered solutions, we deliver on the needs of our clients, to support their business goals.We are searching for a Wordpress Development Team Lead that has a wide breadth of technical experience and knowledge in the Wordpress environment, to support existing products, and to develop new sites for clients. In addition, this is a combined role wherein people and project management skills are as equally important as Wordpress skills.The ideal candidate for this position would work three days a week from the Fort Wayne office. However, working from the Indianapolis office is also an option.Job
Responsibilities:
Through a mix of personnel- and project-management, as well as hands-on coding/development, a successful team lead will deliver value to clients while also driving profitable revenue for the agency. Understanding of how you and your team's activities impact client- and agency-growth, and managing those metrics, will determine success in the role. Regarding Management
Responsibilities:
Work with little oversight to deliver solutions for clients Support team member's career goals by assigning interesting projects, and promoting continuing education Perform one-on-ones with a small team of three to five Wordpress Developers Ensure project estimates and SOWs are completed properly, and on time Manage a team's work using JIRA Epics and issues (tickets) Work with Account Executives to organize and deliver projects on time, with superb quality Work in a mixed Agile and Waterfall environment to estimate tickets, plan sprints, and organize project deliverables Regarding Wordpress Development
Responsibilities:
Use designs and user stories to develop websites using agreed-upon tech stacks Partner with creative personnel to stay aligned on deliverables Track time spent on tickets and projects for billing purposes Mentor less experienced Wordpress Developers Required
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience Minimum 3 years of experience building Wordpress websites Proficient with:
