This Case Manager will work with 2 of our attorneys on pre-litigation and litigation files.
Qualifications For This Position Include:
(1) a Bachelor's degree, associate's degree, or paralegal certificate; (2) at least five years of prior personal injury law firm experience; and proficiency with Microsoft Word; Outlook email; and Excel.
Responsibilities For This Position Include:
1.
HELPING SET UP INITIAL PERSONAL INJURY CASES, including setting up a physical file; scanning client documents; calendaring the statute of limitations; entering the case into Rowe & Hamilton's case management program; sending letters of representation to liability and UIM/Medpay carriers; requesting initial ambulance and emergency room records and bills; sending a welcome letter to the client; requesting a Crash report; obtaining photos from the client; and setting up Medicare claims.

HELPING ONE ATTORNEY MANAGE PRE-LITIGATION CASES, including calling clients and liability insurance claims adjusters regularly to manage information about the client's medical care and case information; informing the Rowe & Hamilton records assistant which providers should receive requests for records and bills; facilitating liens with providers; and talking with clients to ensure their medical bills are being paid by health insurance or Medpay, or are the subject of a lien.
3.
MANAGING LIENS ON BOTH PRE-LITIGATION AND LITIGATION CASES FOR TWO ATTORNEYS, including procuring and tracking lien and balance information for two attorneys throughout the case, but particularly prior to mediations on cases in litigation, including communicating with Medicare, Medicaid, Medpay carriers, health insurers, and providers.
4.
ASSISTING ONE ATTORNEY WITH DEMANDS ON PRE-LITIGATION CASES, including ensuring all records, bills, photos, Crash Reports, and wage loss documentation are available for the demand; following up with the insurance claims adjuster every 30 days after a demand is sent; relaying demands and counterdemands between the attorney and the adjuster.
