Job Description The purpose of this position is to lead WVPA's transmission planning group to identify and plan transmission and distribution facilities to provide sufficient capacity and to ensure reliability to our 23 Member systems.
Some key duties and responsibilities include:
Identifies power delivery and reliability needs of Member systems which will include establishing new or upgraded delivery points for serving their retail customer loads.
Working with Engineering and Project Management, supports the development of the annual T&D capital budget and identification longer-term capital planning needs.
Determines appropriate reliability metrics and leads calculation and tracking of those metrics to support identification of member reliability needs.
Utilizes PSSE tools to determine the most effective use of WVPA's capital resources.
Collaborates with transmission service providers to determine the facilities and associated costs required to upgrade and/or integrate new delivery points.
Implements performance management policies and best practices to improve employee performance, engagement, and contributions to support the needs of WVPA and its Members.
Qualifications Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
A minimum of six (6) years progressive experience in an engineering capacity required.
Prior experience utilizing Siemens PSS/E, MUST, and PowerGem TARA software required.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Professional Engineer designation preferred.
Prior electric utility experience preferred.
Some prior experience in a supervisory role preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
