Monday-Friday 6 AM-2:
30PM Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription benefits are effective 1st of month after 30 days employment Paid Time Off starting after 90 days (prorated based on start date) Review and Increase after 90 days This role supports the mission and core values of Hoosier Gasket Corporation (HGC) by verifying and inspecting product during product and completing final inspection.
The Quality Inspector will rotate in each area of production and in finals.
They will follow the nonconforming procedure by working with the Quality Engineers, Group Leaders and Area Mangers by investigating, stopping production and dispositioning product.
Quality inspectors should communicate professionally with all levels of the organization verbally and in writing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Follow all Safety guidelines Support operation department(s) as scheduled and as needed to complete First Piece, Last Piece inspections.
Complete Final Inspection AQL's on the floor when possible to reduce handling and improve efficiency Complete Final Inspection 100% on the floor if possible or in finals area as needed.
Perform all necessary gaging and bar code verification Log all transactions in TCM for inspections and final verifications Adhere to the Quality Management system Follow nonconforming process Communicate all questions to Quality Engineers and Quality Director Work with Shipping and all departments to prioritize inspections and final verification Use proper lifting techniques Communicate professionally with all personnel with the radio, verbally and in written communication.
Work together with other Quality Inspectors to support Operations, Quality and Shipping Activities as requested by Quality Director and Quality Engineers Measurement System Analysis of gage families EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or GED with evidence of technical training or experience listed aboveSKILLS AND ABILITIES oAbility to use basic dimensional gages such as calipers, micrometers, plug gages, height gages and visual aids oAbility to complete all inspections in a timely manneroAbility to read and interpret drawings and CAD data (GDT experience preferred) oQuality Management System experience - ISO9001 required, IATF16949 preferredoRead and understand Factory orders oInspect, AQL and Final inspect multiple operations areas.
Recommended Skills Cad Data Exchange Communication Iso 9000 Measurement And Metrology Quality Management Technical Drawings Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
