Our scholars traditionally work one grade level ahead so that they are ready to take all authentic college courses beginning their junior year.

History:
Tindley Accelerated Schools launched in 2002 as the Charter for Accelerated Learning, Inc.
In 2004, we launched Charles A.
Tindley Accelerated School in one of Indianapolis' most impoverished neighborhoods.
In six short years, the Tindley School established itself as a model for urban schooling in Indiana, winning the National Blue Ribbon Schools Award in 2010.
Now, Tindley Accelerated Schools is focused on giving students throughout urban Indianapolis access to opportunities for strong educations.
That's why in 2010 the Charter for Accelerated Learning became Tindley Accelerated Schools, dedicated to expanding quality college-preparatory educational services for young people and helping Indianapolis schools excel - so their students can do likewise.

General Description:
To create a flexible program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth; to establish effective rapport with scholars; to motivate scholars to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for high school education in accordance with each scholar's ability; to establish good relationships with parents and other staff members.
Essential Functions and
Responsibilities:

) Develops appropriate Computer Science Technology Curriculum for scholars in grades 9 - 12.
Teaches knowledge and understanding of Computer Technology careers.
Conducts ongoing assessment of scholars' growth and progress in the CSA activities, and modifies instructional methods to fit individual scholar's needs, including scholars with special needs; conducts individual and small group instruction as needed.
Continues to acquire professional knowledge and learn of current developments in the Computer Science Technology field by attending seminars, participating in professional organizations, workshops or professional meetings, or by conducting research.
Maintains a system for accurate and complete record-keeping, grading, and reporting for all scholar activities, achievement and attendance as required by Network procedures and applicable laws.
Encourages parental involvement in scholar's education and ensures effective communication with scholars and parents.
Ensures that scholar's conduct conform to the school's standards and Network policies, and establishes and maintains standards of scholar behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.
Meets with other professional staff members, especially within the S.

M.
Program and participates in faculty meetings and committees.
Selects and requisitions appropriate instructional aids and other supplies and equipment and maintains inventory records in accordance with Network Policies and Procedures.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Competency in the areas of content knowledge, content pedagogy, general teaching knowledge, and knowledge of students; willingness to learn new skills and to enhance instructional skills.
Knowledge of current Computer Science Technology education instructional methods, as well as differentiated instruction based upon student learning styles.
Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the field of Computer Science Technology.
Knowledge of data information systems data analysis and the formulation of action plans.
Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws and regulations regarding education and students, as well as relating to Computer Science Technology.
Ability to use computer network systems and software applications as needed.
Ability to organize and coordinate work.
Ability to listen, speak, write, read, and respond clearly to scholars, parents and community members.
Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.
Ability to assess the strengths, needs, interests, and aspirations of scholars; willingness to hold high expectations for scholar's academic performance and behavior.
Ability to set achievable instructional goals, monitor and evaluate scholar progress.
Ability to be resourceful in responding to the changing needs of scholars and the community.
Ability to use a variety of media and technology to enhance communications.
Ability to function effectively as part of a teaching team, support peer teachers, plan collaboratively, and work constructively with the teaching team to solve problems that arise.
Ability to guide the learning process toward the achievement of stated goals and objectives.
Ability to establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects in compliance with the educational/curricular goals.
Ability to encourage and implement policies, practices, and procedures which create a positive atmosphere, conducive to learning.
Willingness to assist the administration in governing student life in order to maintain a safe environment.
Training and
Experience:
Master's Degree in Education or related field preferred.
Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field required.
Must have a valid teacher's license.
Teaching experience preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
