52 an hour 22 hours ago 22 hours ago 22 hours ago Employee performs as a Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst providing business system testing, integration testing, and regression testing services for the child support system Indiana Verification and Enforcement of Support (INvest) system; and peripheral Chi The QA Analyst conducts prescribed tests on the child support software applications prior to their implementation to Production to ensure quality, design integrity, and proper functionality.
They apply rigorous testing methods including extensive end-user simulations to uncover program bugs.
Employee works in the Department of Child Services, Child Support Bureau's IT Office supporting the Child Support Bureau (CSB) systems and reports to a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst (CSB-IT Test Team Supervisor) or higher level staff.
Essential Duties/
Responsibilities:
oAnalyzes business requirements, functional and technical designs to develop test strategy for assigned projects; oProvides project related estimates for assigned tasks; oCreates manual functional test plan, including test cases, test scripts and test data for assigned projects; oConducts testing to ensure that all CSB-IT systems, products, and services meet requirements and quality standards; oActs as technical expert and information resource concerning assigned areas; oFacilitates support for acceptance testing efforts; oCreates and maintains a reusable test script library using specified templates in Tricentis qTest; oReports project task status to the CSB-IT Test Team Supervisor, appropriate lead and/or project manager; oPromotes the utilization of current governance processes and tools; oProvides regular updates to CSB-IT Test Team Supervisor; oRecommends new/improved testing practices and procedures; oAssists other IT staff with test related tasks; oPerforms related duties as assigned; Job Requirements:
oExtensive knowledge of SDLC and Testing Methodologies; oThorough knowledge of testing and reporting procedures and practices; oStrong analytical skills and attention to detail; oPrefer knowledge of the Child Support Enforcement systems and Child Support requirements; oPrefer working knowledge of the Tricentis qTest tool suite; oAbility to identify and resolve problems or assist in the development of creative solutions, when necessary; oAbility to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; oAbility to work as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues.
oRelevant Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience; Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:
Employee typically reports to the Quality Assurance Manager (CSB-IT Testing Manager) or higher level staff.
Employee will receive guidance from CSB-IT Test Team Supervisor.
Difficulty of Work:
Employee uses considerable judgment in selecting the most pertinent guidelines to follow.
Work is broad in scope and requires in-depth analysis of multiple variables to fit various circumstances of a medium to complex enterprise wide system.
Responsibility:
Work has a direct influence and impact on the agency's ability to successfully administer the business operation to achieve agency mission, policy, or practice.
Technical instruction is generally not needed; however employee may seek guidance when unique problems arise.
Work is reviewed for adherence to deadlines and attainment of objectives.
Personal Work Relationships:
Employee is responsible for developing and maintaining cooperative work relationships with all levels of staff.
Contacts are for the purpose of coordinating, problem solving, sharing, describing, troubleshooting and analyzing.
Employee is responsible for portraying a professional image in all contacts including public contact which may occur through vendor communications.
