REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree required LICENSE:
Must hold a valid Indiana State Teacher's License in Elementary and/or Middle School Education (K-8).
Must be deemed Highly Qualified in accordance with the Indiana Department of Education
Experience:
Required experience includes:
? Must have excellent organization and communication skills while being flexible ? Possess no excuses philosophy ? Exceptional management skills ? Must be able to adapt material to meet needs of diverse learners ? Work cooperatively and effectively with other professional staff ? Must have a working knowledge of balanced literacy, state standards, general education curriculum, and IPS curriculum/instruction framework.
MAJOR
Responsibilities:
? Demonstrate a high level of effectiveness.
? Collaborate with staff members.
? Prepare rigorous, engaging lessons and other instructional materials to meet individual needs of all students including arts integration.
? Demonstrate use of scientifically-based research best practice instructional strategies.
? Post assignments and input real-time data on Google Classroom.
? Use a variety of instructional methods and materials.
? Administer and analyze assessment data to inform instructional decisions that promotes student growth.
? Encourage parent involvement in the educational process.
? Resolves problems in a timely manner.
? Participate in all staff and curriculum development workshops and arts performances that are sometimes held during the summer and/or outside of the regular instructional day.
? Provides a positive, calm and supportive classroom environment which fosters social and emotional growth of all students.
