The Role and the Company Lehigh Hanson is North America's leading supplier of cement, aggregates, ready mix concrete, and asphalt. The Director Finance Midwest Region role is based in Indianapolis, IN and reports directly to the VP Finance Midwest Region. What you'll get to do Provide leadership and direction for the Finance function in the Midwest Region Oversee financial planning, capital planning, reporting, and forecasting Involved with strategic plans to achieve organizational objectives and ensure the safeguard of assets through the establishment and adherence to effective controls and procedures Involved with Regional and Corporate Finance and Shared Service organizations, ensuring efficient and effective financial processes in compliance with all policies, reporting requirements, and information requests Monitor and analyze operating results against budget and past performance Develop excellent relationships and act as resource to business leaders Recommend benchmarks for measuring financial and operating results Essential Experience and Skills Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting At least 10 years of experience in accounting and/or industry financial positions covering accounting and finance functions Strong leadership, communication, strategic thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills Commitment and engagement through high level of work ethic and utilization of abilities for the best of the company Entrepreneurial thinking combined with the pragmatism of what is achievable Preferred Experience and Skills Experience in SAP and Oracle Hyperion Essbase and Planning Experience collaborating effectively with Corporate Shared Services and IT to enhance and streamline processes and controls. Master's degree Strong financial modelling competency as it relates to strategic planning, business development, organic growth, and M&A Work Environment Role operates primarily in an office environment. Occasional visits to our plants would include a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions Must be able to occasionally climb stairs or walk on uneven surfaces What we have to offer Competitive base salary and participation in our annual incentive plan Highly competitive benefits programs 401k retirement savings plan with an automatic company contribution as well as matching contributions Lehigh Hanson is a drug free workplace.
