SUMMARY The Solution Architect - POC IT is responsible for the management of remote and/or on-site installation of Roche Diagnostics Commercial (RDC) IT product solutions at customer sites. This position provides technical advice to support a variety of post-sales activities, including installation, testing, integration, and maintenance of RDC products. The Solution Architect - POC IT may provide installation support or resolution of issues remotely or work directly with customers on-site, requiring 10% or greater travel to customer locations. KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Assists Field Project Managers in assessing and determining the appropriate application of RDC products to meet customer needs Collaborates with sales in final stages to assess project impact and effort to implement RDC products Determines customer needs and sets appropriate installation expectations Prepares detailed product specifications for the implementation and integration of customer applications and/or solutions Develops integration, implementation, and installation materials for supported IT products Ensures resources are aligned and available to complete the required activities within the prescribed time frames Directs and coordinates activities to ensure each project progresses on schedule while meeting all other specified project performance parameters Manages customer expectations, identifies project risks, and formulates plans to minimize impacts to projects; escalates implementation issues, as needed, and manages critical customer situations Designs, gains agreement, and communicates professional project plans for advanced customer implementations which confirm with Roche policies and procedures. Works directly with clients to manage initial security access, mapping, and transfer of data Tests and troubleshoots functionality of installed systems; identifies and documents technical issues to be escalated to product and system integration teams for resolution Creates process documentation; trains or coordinates training for client users Performs validation process of IT solutions to evaluate effectiveness Performs remote and/or on-site troubleshooting or repair of RDC IT solutions after the implementation, as needed Ensures customer satisfaction during the installation, integration, and post-go-live Completes all required post-sale technical implementation activities following documented procedures and processes to ensure the product applications/solutions functions to specifications within prescribed time frames Actively participates in and conducts pre-implementation, implementation, and post-project review meetings for RDC customers and internal stakeholders Serves as a technical resource for lower levels on more complex system issues; participates in new hire training and mentoring activities based on area of expertise Provides feedback based on client experiences to product and professional services teams for product and process improvements. Performs related administrative duties such as creating and submitting expense and status reports while adhering to regulatory requirements Networks with senior internal and external personnel in area of expertise as well as some key contacts outside area of expertise WHO YOU ARE The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with wide-ranging experience addressing diverse and often times complex issues, requiring in-depth analysis and evaluation of many factors. Exercising appropriate judgment in selecting evaluation methods and determining solution criteria is critical. Additionally, the ideal candidate is comfortable coordinating the activities of others, networking with internal and external senior personnel in area of expertise, networking with key contacts outside area of expertise, and has a continuous improvement mindset. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Medical Technology, Life Sciences OR 3 years of laboratory IT, general IT, or product line experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Able to travel 10% or more Technical skills within product groups; including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft IIS, IT Security, Networking, and Intersystems Cache Familiar with healthcare domain integration standards (ASTM, HL7, IHE, DICOM, HIPAA, etc.) Knowledge of the clinical customer base and critical components of an LIS and laboratory IT processes Ability to troubleshoot complex problems, consult, and drive resolution Highly effective communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with and translate requirements for both technical and non-technical groups
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Systems Architecture & EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
