Job Description:
Position Overview
Responsible for assisting the Vice Presidents - Affordable with improvement of the operational systems, processes and policies in support of the Company's mission -- specifically, to support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organizational planning.
Essential Job Functions - The individual must be able to perform the following tasks:
Financial Responsibilities
Provide support in reviewing and analyzing financial data for the department.
Provide pre-acquisition input and assistance in due diligence process, including review of financial and operational assumptions.
Staffing Responsibilities
Provide support in determining staffing needs and recruit, hire and orient staff in accordance with the Company and EEO regulations and guidelines.
Train, evaluate, compensate, and prepare annual salary increases for affordable operations support team.
Prepare, submit and maintain accurate records, reports and paperwork (invoices, time cards, new hire / termination information, employee counseling and evaluations for affordable operations support team).
Create and sustain a positive work environment at communities and accomplish the objectives of the Corporate Performance Management program.
Operations Responsibilities
Assist VPs with implementation of various initiatives.
Assist with monitoring the sites for compliance risk analysis.
Aggregate data from support department and push information to VPs and RPMs in an efficient manner.
Review all reports and correspondence and handle complaints and/or problems timely and accurately with the assistance of the affordable operations support team.
Assist with project operations for acquisitions and new development.
In conjunction with the Compliance Department and the Regional Property Manager, monitor HUD and IRS requirements and make appropriate recommendations to the VPs.
Provide support in updating, monitoring, and developing policies and procedures for Glick Standards.
Serve as contact with HUD offices and refer problems to the VP - Affordable.
Requirements
4 years' experience in affordable housing preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
COS and HCCP or equivalent designations.
4-6 years supervisory experience required.
Experience using PC based word processing and spreadsheet software preferred. Must possess excellent time-management and organizational skills.
Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License in the state of residence.
Able to work a varied schedule including weekends.
Able to work efficiently with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and follow-through.
Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Must be able to read and comprehend the English language.
