Duties:
Provides organizational/group leadership for identified area of responsibility.
Reports and manages MSA projects to accomplish BA strategies for
Clinical Trials or other MSA projects.
Coordinates resources with colleagues and external partners to accomplish project driven development efforts and product support tasks.
Participates in making trade off decisions concerning project management options.
Works closely with global MSA functions to understand customer needs and ensure appropriate skills/resources available to accomplish project goals.
Specialized and in-depth comprehensive knowledge and experience in a particular field or business area.
Duties are varied and complex, often involving research, analysis, contingency planning and solution development.
Provides direction on issues of area of expertise and assists department leadership in setting strategic direction.
Typically a higher level professional position.
Requires proven use of originality and ingenuity.
Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions.
Skills:

years of progressive work experience in an appropriate discipline, including management of projects
Excellent problem solving, customer service, negotiation, interpersonal, decision making, leadership and communication skills
In depth knowledge in area of specialty with a thorough understanding of its impact upon related fields.
Knowledge is demonstrated through an advanced (MS/PhD) degree and/or in depth technical experience in a particular field
High level of knowledge of product development objectives/strategies
High level of knowledge of customer/business operations applied to the translation requirements into product development
Matrix leadership/management and project management skills
Provide support in area of expertise to project teams.
Negotiates with team leaders on staff assignments to project teams.
Manages team?s capacity for maximum effectiveness.
Proactively aligns the department?s design capabilities with the business strategy and product portfolios.
Evaluates current functional capabilities against future needs, assess the skills and technology gaps, and develops action plans to close the gaps.
Monitors state-of-the-art development/analysis tools and processes in order to reduce overall development costs and time.
Responsible for overall quality of work of the department.
Assures that processes are uniformly applied across all project activities.
Performs audits of the group?s work to assure quality and compliance.
Creates networks of outside resources which support the department, including partnerships, contractors, consultants and university contacts.
Helps develop and manage licensing and confidentiality agreements.
Develops staff and provides coaching and mentoring.
Education:
Bachelors Degree is requiredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
