This position is responsible for providing telephone and web-based technical support to our end-user customer base for installation assistance, error notation and resolution, media replacement and book recommendations. The most important aspect of this position is being a liaison between customers, Authors and the Editorial Team. This person must document and communicate all bugs, errors and viable customer input to the appropriate Editorial and Operational Team via our escalated Tiered Reporting Structure and Call Tracking System. The shift is 4:00pm-midnight, Friday - Tuesday.
Requirements
Familiarity with parts of a computer and standard Windows & Mac operating systems.
Knowledge of software categories and popular software available for networking, operating systems, office suites, programming, and internet.
A refined sense of troubleshooting techniques.
Two years of college and/or related work experience.
Computer/Software Technical Support experience in a consumer driven environment.
Phone support or customer service experience preferred.
Ability to work weekends and late nights as needed.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
