Ascension Health Information Services (AHIS) is seeking to hire a Desktop Engineering Intern Support Associate.
Under direct supervision, the Desktop Engineering Intern Support Associate will assist in the creating reports and presentations, assisting with audits and completing general office tasks. As an intern, this position is responsible for performing basic duties of limited scope in the Desktop Engineering area.
### QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
This is an entry level Information Technology position that requires expertise and knowledge in the discipline of IT.
Must be currently enrolled as a student in an accredited university working toward a Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology, or Computer Science discipline or equivalent.
Minimum GPA 2.5 and in good standing.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Abilities :
Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project and Visio.
Possesses a basic understanding of the principles of Information Technology.
Must have a valid Driver's License and own transportation should travel be required.
Ability to work during normal business hours.
### RESPONSIBILITIES
Reports directly to the Desktop Engineering Manager
Processes basic understanding of the principles of information technology; applies technical knowledge under direct supervision
Operates effectively as part of a larger team and managing their own work
With guidance, can assist with managing small sized projects with low complexity, lasting three months or less
Good communications skills, both verbal and written; communications are clear, concise, and complete
Purposefully seeks out opportunities for learning
Embraces feedback as a tool for learning and professional development
TYPICAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Assists in the development and maintenance of spreadsheets, documentation and Powerpoint presentations. Must be able to create and work with pivot tables.
Assist with management of small sized projects
Builds, runs, and distributes reports pertaining to Desktop Engineering functions
Captures, follows up and closes action items
Creates and distributes communication to department/team members
