Ascension Health Information Services (AHIS) is seeking a Systems Analyst to join the staff of professionals in the Indiana Region to be a part of the QUEST Interface/Development team. Duties consist primarily of working with clinicians, vendors, and other IT associates to define IT solution requirements around improved clinical workflows, better capture and exchange of data, and knowledge-based decision processes.
### QUALIFICATIONS
2
years HL7 experience focusing on interface design specifications, interface testing, and project management
Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems/Computer Science or related preferred
Ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of end user roles in a hospital setting
Experience with Allscripts(Eclipsys Legacy) or other Electronic Health Record software preferred
Position may require on call shift work
Positional will require occasional overtime and odd hours
### RESPONSIBILITIES
Be an integral part of the Interface team in the design, build, and test stages of the EHR project including interfaces, custom applications, and data discovery
Research and understand the full suite of Allscripts/SCM functionality in order to align the best available solution to ever changing clinical and business requirements
Analyze and help define data requirements
Participate in testing and validation of system functionality and issue mitigation
Build, unit test, validate others work, formal testing, activation support, on call rotations are all common business requirements
Understand the concept of change control principles and working in an environment in which changes/modifications could affect multiple sites and multiple modules
Will work within the Allscripts/Eclipsys tool set to build, test, and deploy new solutions in support of the St. Vincent''s Inpatient Electronic Medical Record
Able to produce, update, and review support documentation and vendor specifications to understand system functionality and carry out assigned duties
Work with clinicians to develop technical requirements and specificationsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
