Ascension Health Information Services (AHIS) is seeking to hire a Business Continuity Intern Support Associate.
Under direct supervision, the Business Continuity Intern Support Associate will assist in the development, exercising and maintenance of disaster recovery plans for IT systems and applications. As an intern, this position is responsible for performing basic duties of limited scope in the IT Business Continuity Management Program. The associate may serve in a logistic support or a communications capacity during an exercise or an actual disaster event.
### QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
This is an entry level Information Technology position that requires expertise and knowledge in the discipline of IT.
Must be currently enrolled as a third, or fourth year student in an accredited university working toward a Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology, or Computer Science discipline.
Minimum GPA 2.5 and in good standing.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Abilities :
Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project and Visio.
Possesses a basic understanding of the principles of Information Technology.
Must have a valid Driver's License and own transportation as may travel between locations.
### RESPONSIBILITIES
Reports directly to the IT BCMP Program Manager
Actively demonstrates engagement and assumes responsibility for modeling Ascension Health's mission, vision and core values
Processes basic understanding of the principles of information technology; applies technical knowledge under direct supervision
Operates effectively as part of a larger team and managing their own work
With guidance, can manage a small sized project with low complexity, lasting three months or less
Good communications skills, both verbal and written; communications are clear, concise, and complete
Purposefully seeks out opportunities for learning
Embraces feedback as a tool for learning and professional development
TYPICAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Assists in the development and maintenance of Disaster Recovery Plans to support the recovery of IT systems and applications
Assists in the planning and execution of a system test
Project Management of small sized projects
Builds, runs, and distributes reports pertaining to Disaster Recovery information
Captures, follows up and closes action items from post test reports
Creates and distributes communication to department/team members

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
