Delta Faucet has an outstanding opportunity for a talented system developer at our Indianapolis headquarters to play a key role in Delta s web application development process. This system development position participates in design, analysis, programming, support, configuration, and testing to support primarily Java applications and web application systems and initiatives.
Principal Accountabilities:
o Leads development projects
o Participates in the system design process
o Develops technical specifications and related documentation
o Develops accurate and dependable development products
o Develops reusable and maintainable development products
o Participates in test plan development
o Performs unit testing and helps with system testing
o Participates in system support activities including on-call responsibilities
Education and Experience/Skills:
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor''s degree from four-year college or university and 3
years related application development experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The incumbent must be able to communicate (written and verbal) and collaborate with various levels of an organization and be flexible to manage multiple projects and changing priorities. The ability to work independently as well as on a team is required. The position requires experience with Java and web application development projects and skills with related development tools. Sound knowledge of Java, SQL, HTML, CSS, and Javascript is required. Candidate should have specific experience with application servers/web containers such as WebSphere or Tomcat, relational databases (Oracle is preferred), Eclipse or similar development environment, source controls systems (Git preferred), and have the ability to navigate Unix/Linux operating systems. Also beneficial would be experience with Java web services, MVC frameworks, JPA, Spring, Lucene, and jQuery.
