Position Overview:
We are currently seeking dedicated and responsible individuals to join our team as FedEx Delivery Drivers using their own vehicles (AVP - Alternate Vehicle Program).
As a key member of our delivery team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that FedEx packages are delivered promptly and in excellent condition to our customers.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently deliver FedEx packages to residential and commercial addresses within designated routes.
- Follow FedEx service standards and delivery protocols to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Organize and load packages into your vehicle in a secure and organized manner.
- Use GPS navigation to optimize delivery routes and minimize delivery times.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and ensure proof of delivery is obtained when required.
- Handle packages with care, ensuring they arrive in excellent condition.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns professionally.
Qualifications:
- Must have a reliable, well-maintained vehicle (car, van, or similar) to use for deliveries.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Must be minimum 21 years of age.
- Ability to lift and carry packages upstairs, driveways, gravel and curbs, in any weather conditions.
- Excellent time-management skills and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of the local area and streets is a plus.
- Previous delivery experience is preferred but not required.
- Pass a federal, state, and local criminal background check, as well as Motor Vehicle Report.
- Able to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly, use GPS and scanner, follow directions.
- Must have your own car in your name.
Vehicle must meet FedEx requirements.
Schedule:
- Part-time and full-time positions available.
- Flexible hours, including weekdays and weekends.
