Position Summary Serves as local liaison to Agency Force and Branch sales personnel.
Assists with organizing and coordinating Agency related communications, events, meetings and training.
Provides administrative support for Branch Manager, District Sales Managers and related sales personnel.
Assists with coordinating and supporting corporate Marketing programs for local sales area.
The Hiring Manager will also consider candidates for Sr.
Business Support Specialist.
Level of position offered will be based upon the depth and breadth of selected candidates experience and qualifications.
Duties and Responsibilities Assists with the coordination and administration of the Agent submission process by reviewing and monitoring Agent Principal and Producer appointments and terminations, new Agent paperwork, mergers and incorporations, background checks, etc.
Assists with coordinating Agent recruitment activities; may perform or assist with database searches and other research to identify potential Agent targets, maintains records; gathers, verifies and distributes confidential information.
Assists with organizing and coordinating educational and sales meetings.
Works with Home Office Corporate Training and Development Department as appropriate.
Assists with planning events and meetings; secures facilities and/or venues and handles other accommodations as needed.
Handles various routine inquiries from Agents.
Assists with handling and tracking Agent change requests from Policyholders.
Refers complex, non-routine questions, issues and complaints to Branch Manager, District Sales Manager or Sr.
Business Support Specialist.
Develops and maintains a working knowledge of DSPro and/or other related ERIE systems as needed.
Assists in training new Agents and/or agency staff on DSPro and other ERIE systems.
Develops and maintains a working knowledge of ERIE's underwriting guidelines and marketing programs.
Assists with introducing and reviewing ERIE guidelines/programs with newly appointed Agents, sub-Agents and customer service representatives.
Coordinates ERIE Underwriting and marketing materials for Agents.
Assists with conducting file audits both at the Branch Office and in the Agent's offices as needed.
Ensures applications are signed by appropriate parties.
Performs various administrative duties, including scheduling appointments, responding to routine correspondence, maintaining diary system, maintaining spreadsheets, typing, filing and organizing and preparing mass mailings.
Answers phone calls and directs visitors as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Two years of office experience, preferably in an insurance-related environment, required.
Proficiency in spelling, grammar and punctuation required.

Working knowledge of DSPro preferred.
Working knowledge of insurance preferred.
Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
