We currently have an opportunity for an experienced electrical engineer to join our team in Indianapolis with hybrid home/office flexibility.
The ME Team serves public sector clients with planning, design, and construction services for architectural and municipal infrastructure projects (water & wastewater).
This position will lead the electrical design phase for projects, assist with scope, schedule, and budget, and provide guidance to other team members.
Primary Responsibilities Assists with project management activities for the ME team including development of scope, schedule, and budget for new projects.
Leads and coordinates deliverables for the electrical phase of ME engineering projects.
Assigns project tasks and provides guidance and mentoring to other staff.
Assists with any subsequent fee negotiations or contract amendments for projects.
Collaborates with other teams (Civil, Transportation, Structural) on projects requiring ME design services.
Monitors task assignments and deadlines and ensures QC/QA processes are implemented and followed for all team projects.
Actively supports the development of staff and works to sustain and grow the team's technical capabilities.
Assists the Area Manager with billing, monitoring project performance, workload forecasting, staff utilization and other administrative tasks.
Collaborates on project pursuits with the Area Manager and develops relationships with existing clients and prospects.
Active participation in Communities of Practice and technical and trade associations.
Position Requirements B.
S.
degree in Electrical Engineering and Indiana Professional Engineer (PE) license is desired.
10
years of experience as a consulting engineer with a focus on facility design, power systems, low voltage systems and lighting design.
Strong knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards for medium and low voltage designs.
Demonstrated project management experience including development of scope, schedule, and budget with accountability for project financial performance.
Proficient or knowledgeable with the capabilities of the following design and modeling tools:
Revit, SKM Powertools, Lighting Design software (AGI-32 or others), MS Office.
Previous experience with Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint is desirable.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to make client presentations and develop or edit reports.
A valid driver's license is required with the ability to travel to client or project sites as needed.
