Active Directory Engineer


Responsibilities:
The Directory Services team is responsible for the administration and operation of the Microsoft Active Directory (AD), and Radiant Logic Radiant One Virtual Directory Services (VDS) platforms.
Directory Services will work with other IDM services to effectively create a solution to meet users and application owners needs.
Troubleshooting across service offerings will be necessary as well as working with external 3rd party technical staff.
The team is responsible for the design and execution of LCM, security, and product enhancement projects for the platform.
Services supported include:
Microsoft Active Directory (AD).
Radiant Logic Radiant One Virtual Directory Services (VDS).
Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM).
Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) Architect Specific:
Design, enable and support a global Active Directory environment.
Design, implement, and support Group Policies.
Enable and support Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) environment.
Strategic implementation and support cross-forest trusts.
Evaluating current state architecture as well as evolving solutions.
Propose and manage large scale upgrades and lifecycle management.
Improve AD processes and automate repetitive tasks wherever feasibleContinually review and improve the security posture of AD.
Required Skills:
5
years of direct experience with Active Directory.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong documentation skills both technical and for end-users.
Ability to operate well & coach in a team environment.
Ability to operate in regulated business.
Proven ability to multi-task efficiently.
Proven ability to effectively troubleshoot technology issues.
Basic Windows &/or Unix Server knowledge.
Basic networking knowledge.
Knowledge of directory services databases / constructs.
Knowledge of IP and Subnetting.
Basic knowledge of LDAP and Kerberos.
Customer service skills both written and verbal.
Ability to communicate professionally with multiple levels of responsibilities.
Nice to have skills:
Experience with various Directory Services & object-oriented data bases.
Experience gathering design requirements and executing project plans.
Experience consulting and designing solutions for customers.
Experience with directory services including LDAP queries.
Knowledge of firewall and load-balancing technologies.
PowerShell command and scripting experience.
Knowledge of SSL and signing certificates
