Salary Statement:
This position typically starts at an annual salary of $34,216, but may be commensurate with education and experience.
Role Overview:
You will act as a senior worker providing maintenance services and repairs to equipment, machinery, buildings, and grounds in a variety of trade areas.
You will perform general maintenance, and minor repairs including clean-up, to building(s), equipment and grounds at a National Guard Armory, Readiness Center, or other facility.
You will be responsible for the entire facility and grounds excluding those areas of military responsibility such as:
kitchens (except when included in a rental agreement, after a period of non-use, and for general cleaning), OMS areas, military supply rooms, and other like areas.
You will be expected to defoliate all areas of facility, including the vehicles compounds and POL building when applicable.
About the Job:
As the Maintenance Repair, you will be responsible for the position being requested is the maintenance and repair of property facilities, infrastructure, equipment, and vehicles.
In this position, some of your responsibilities include maintenance to structures, repairs to utilities, maintenance of equipment and vehicles, and repairs to our infrastructure and facilities.
Without safe and well-kept facilities and equipment the property cannot operate at the high standards that are required.
A Day in the Life:
The essential functions of this role are as follows:
Diagnose and repair various maintenance issues.
Maintain service and maintenance records.
Purchase required parts, tools, and supplies according to State policy.
Repair buildings and structures.
Assist with snow removal.

What You'll Need for Success:
You must meet the following requirements to be considered for employment:
Working knowledge of various trades including masonry, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
Working knowledge of radio communications and procedures.
Working knowledge of appropriate safety precautions needed for a variety of repairs.
Ability to use a variety of automotive, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical tools for routine maintenance and repair.
Ability to prepare and maintain a variety of records.
Ability to use a wide variety of hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment.
Ability to work independently and provide self-motivation.
Ability to read and follow guidelines and blueprints to complete construction projects.
Be willing to travel with reasonable accommodation.

This role does not provide direct supervision to direct reports.
