Job Description POSITION SUMMARY A skilled machinist is responsible for the set-up and proper operation of manual and CNC mills and lathes and turning centers used in the production of centrifugal pump parts. Very qualified machinist with diversified skills on most machines in the Company's operations (both manual & CNC). Performs a variety of machining operations with close tolerances and a significant variety of parts.Can perform difficult set-ups and all necessary hand operations in order to produce a very high level of quality and product. Conducts PMs on equipment.This position requires independent judgment with limited supervision and may be required to guide the efforts of others in the same or lower grade levels. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOperates industrial machining equipment, manual and/or CNC lathes and mills.Performs equipment cleaning and preventative maintenance.Has ability to use, read and interpret micrometers, calipers, and precision instruments.Reads and understands engineering prints including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.Sets up and operates machines to product quality parts and/or tools and meet production deadlines.Maintains quality and safety standards, keeps records, and maintains equipment/supplies.Other job duties as assigned. EDUCATIONHigh school diploma or equivalent; Technical or Trade College Certification.3-5 years of machining experience.Strong attention to detail and time management skills. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
