8K a year Description Vincennes University is seeking applicants for an Advanced Manufacturing Automation Technology Faculty position.
This is a 9-month, full-time position with benefits located at the Vincennes University Aviation Technology Center in Indianapolis, IN.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
To teach courses in the discipline of Advanced Manufacturing Automation Technology and Industrial Maintenance.
Duties and Responsibilities Teach Advanced Manufacturing Automation Technology (AMAT) courses Participate in recruiting activities.
Prepare materials for courses taught.
Maintain laboratory equipment.
Able to work some evenings and occasional Saturdays if needed.
Advise students and monitor student progress.
Other duties as opportunities arise.
Required and Preferred
Qualifications Education:
Minimum of an A.
S.
degree directly related to Advanced Manufacturing/Industrial Maintenance.
Experience:
Minimum of three year's work experience directly working with automation technology used in manufacturing.
Must be proficient in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and fluid power systems.
Direct working experience in the following areas:
Electrical/Electronic control circuits.
Mechanical Drive Systems.
Fluid Power.
Motor Control System.
3 Phase Power.
PLC Programming.
Industrial Robot Programming.
Industrial Networking Process Control.
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities REASONING SKILLS:
Strong problem-solving skills.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Excellent oral & written communication skills.
Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable working with diverse populations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to lift 50 pounds, also stand for an hour without a break.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
