8 Quick Apply Full-time 8 hours ago Full Job Description THE QUIKRETE COMPANIES, the leading producer of packaged concrete and related products, is seeking a Production Manager for our Indianapolis, IN Plant.

This position directs and manages all plant production operations with overall responsibilities of production, production staffing, maintenance, quality, and other related activities.
WHAT's THE JOB? Review the status of all production jobs daily to keep them on schedule to meet seasonal demands.
Review and monitor all labor hours.
Monitor the number of working days each month and the available hours each day to maximize production and inventory.
Schedule and hold daily, weekly and monthly meetings regarding safety and productivity.
Monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
Control and minimize labor overtime.
Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; conduct monthly plant safety audits to generate work orders to repair/replace key components within the production process.
Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
Support activities to develop/maintain employee relationships.
Implements and maintains preventative maintenance programs.
Incorporates plant floor organization, and plant cleanliness/housekeeping among plant personnel.
Provides direction, development and leadership to plant production supervision.
Assist in developing and maintaining an effective organization through selection, training, compensation, motivation, termination and review of all facility personnel.
Review general business climate, adjust staffing and materials as needed.

Qualifications:
Four year degree in Business Admin, Management, Operations Management, or Engineering.
3 - 5 years Production Management Experience, manufacturing experience preferred.
Excellent leadership, organizational, interpersonal, motivational, time management and communication skills.
Strong working knowledge of computers.
Technical aptitude.
Fast paced, aggressive work environment, results oriented.
A willingness to work on the floor with staff and do whatever it takes to get the job done! We offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
