Compliance Auditor
The candidate will be responsible for auditing processes and functions to ensure compliance with federal and state laws. This includes assessing risks, identifying trends, developing and executing appropriate tests of controls, presenting results and recommendations for improvements to management, and drafting audit reports. Assists in the periodic assessment of the corporate compliance program and development of the annual compliance work plan. Also responsible for the following: Utilizes compliance software to coordinate, track, and report on compliance-related audits throughout the organization. Works closely with the staff to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Researches regulatory issues that pertain to company s business. Conducts audits of medical and related billing/reimbursement records in order to evaluate their accuracy and compliance with policies, government regulations, and third party payer contracts. Prepares written reports summarizing audit findings and, making recommendations for improvement and correction where identified. Assists with the development and implementation of corporate compliance training programs. Researches applicable documentation and reimbursement policies to apply in the development of audit plans for both scheduled and unscheduled audits and investigations. Articulates findings to departmental personnel and appropriate management. Monitors and tracks Compliance Department initiated corrective actions where necessary. Evaluates the effectiveness of policies and procedures and the effectiveness of internal controls. Coordinates audit planning, scope and resolution of results with Director of Corporate Compliance and other appropriate personnel. Conducts interviews, reviews documents, develops and administers surveys, composes audit reports, and prepares working papers.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
