The Stop Loss Specialist will have a strong emphasis on sales skills and acumen in the employee benefits field, preferably with experience in Stop Loss. Must be highly motivated, with sense of urgency. Must be able to take ownership of assigned territory to develop strong producer relationships. Needs to partner with underwriting to develop annual territory strategies, applicable budgets and execute the sales strategy. Must meet or exceed sales objectives. Must be able to develop and promote a team/cross sell environment with other AIG departments. Additionally, support those other departments through the gathering of market intelligence and claims data from assigned TPA''s, Broker''s and PPO''s.
In addition the Stop Lost Specialist will have the following
Responsibilities:
Identify and qualify new production sources for assigned products.
Input and maintain accurate and current producer information in contact management system.
Follow-up on every stop loss and organ transplant quote issued by underwriting.
Determine through producer contact status of quotes issued and what additional actions are needed to make a sale.
Participate in discussions that produce ideas, methods, or ways to position company to sell stop loss and organ transplant coverage.
Submit to management annually strategies to meet region''s new and renewal business budget.
Determine and change when appropriate the status (A,B,C) of producer sources.
Visit A producer sources on a regular basis for the purpose of discussing year-to-date activity and determination of how the company can better serve the producer.
Contribute ideas that may result in the improvement of service to your customers or the work environment of your fellow employees.
Perform other duties as directed by management that are pertinent to the successful development of the region or company.
Required to continually improve local area market knowledge as it relates to networks (insuring our internal network evaluations are current) and competitor activity (to include BUCA, MGU, Carriers).
Updating their knowledge of TPA''s utilized to include knowledge of their in-house Medical Management, UR & Large Case Management capabilities, as well as their in-house technology capabilities (Fraud and Abuse, out-of-network repricing, etc.). - Bachelors Degree or commensurate experience
Employee benefits experience required; with a
preference for experience in the Self-Funded/Stop Loss market.
Requirements: 50% travel

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
