Infrastructure Architect NGS
Designs and defines reference infrastructure architectures and components. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Identifies, researches and pilots new technologies. Contributes to overall platform architecture vision and ensures specific components are appropriately designed and leveraged. Contributes to the construction of infrastructure architecture components. Supports efforts with cross-functional knowledge (e.g., strategy, change management, business process management). Coordinates all conceptual infrastructure architecture components (e.g., data architecture, application architecture, technical architecture). Designs and is responsible for SLAs/OLAs with internal and external organizations. Contributes to systems and technical architectures for new strategic initiatives; understands how the EA and Domain roadmaps maintain and deliver cost effectiveness, business value and competitiveness. Focus for this position will be on designing architecture components for enterprise initiatives for the following technologies: Windows, Unix, Virtualization, and Network.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Recommends new technologies based upon business value drivers and return on investment; drives new technologies towards implementation and exploitation. Establishes overall platform architecture vision and ensures specific components are appropriately designed and leveraged; contributes to the holistic vision of Enterprise Architecture. Creates the construction of infrastructure architecture components. Establishes overall infrastructure architecture vision and ensures specific components are appropriately designed and leveraged. Defines infrastructure architecture standards that are in-line with customer, IT and industry standards. Directs projects to identify enterprise level technology and architectural standards, guidelines, principles, frameworks, and reference models. Competently contributes technical expertise to enterprise programs and projects; evangelizes architecture and technical strategies, and influences project and program direction toward enterprise technology standards and architectures; is able to escalate non-conformance to appropriate governance bodies. Focus for this position will be on designing architecture components for enterprise initiatives for the following technologies: Windows, Unix, Virtualization, and Network.
This position may work form any of NGS locations.
Job Qualifications
Infrastructure Architect NGS
Requires Bachelors degree in related field; 3 years of experience in architecture/design in relevant technology disciplines; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. 8 years of experience in information technologies and/or 4 years of experience in health care industry preferred. Proficiency in Content management and workflow systems, Data center architecture, Mobile infrastructure, Virtualization and Voice Infrastructure preferred.

Requires Bachelors degree in related field; 5 years of experience in architecture/design in relevant technology disciplines; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. MS/MA degree preferred. 10 years of experience in information technologies and/or 6 years of experience in health care industry preferred. Proficiency in Content management and workflow systems, Data center architecture, Mobile infrastructure, and Virtualization Infrastructure preferred.
