Clinical Data Steward Analyst

Ascension Information Services, AIS, one of the largest healthcare IT service companies in North America, is looking for qualified people to organize and lead Health Ministry programs that focus on implementing administrative and clinical data mappings to Ascension Health-adopted industry data standards.
The Solutions Development Data Steward will work with application subject matter experts within the Health Ministry to implement data clean-up activities and to adopt data standards. The Data Steward will be responsible to ensure high levels of data quality, availability and privacy. These resources will be responsible for instituting the monitoring of adherence to governance policies, procedures and processes, establishing consistent understanding of data definitions, and monitoring/auditing the overall data quality within Ascension Health Ministries.

Have clear understanding of your assigned functional area and the data being managed, and its implications downstream to other systems, processes, and applications
Knowledge of the business rules for their functional areas
Excellent oral, written and presentation skills

Education :
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other equivalent work experience.
Qualifications:
Requires 5-7 or more years of healthcare technology/informatics management experience.
Experience in maintaining clinical applications in production, test and development environments.
Experience with building and implementing Hospital Information Systems, Practice Management Systems, and Electronic Health Records.
Able to travel up to 50%

### RESPONSIBILITIES
The Solutions Development Data Steward (Data Steward) will work with the Health Ministry and AIS Leadership to:
Document data flows and data environments. Communicate data flows and data states to a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain the central knowledge store for data management processes, standards and solutions.
Maintain open and consistent communication among internal team, customers, and management regarding project status.
Work with Health Ministry Data Architects to coordinate and document data flows and data models.
Manage and enhance existing data monitoring and quality programs, including on-going assessments and rating of the quality of data sources, data capture, data movement and data in reporting environments.
Implement and assess data quality improvement processes.
Review data monitoring reports, communicate issues to business and technical teams, and track to resolution.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
