Responsibilities
This legal consultant position will primarily support the attorneys who provide legal advice to the Lilly USA Brand Teams and Product Teams.
The responsibilities of this position include serving as the legal representative for a team (including alliance partner counterparts) for the review and approval of product marketing materials and other communications to ensure compliance with FDA and other US pharmaceutical marketing legal requirements as well as addressing other alliance related legal issues. This position will also support the attorneys in training employees on FDA U.S. drug marketing law requirements, in drafting and reviewing commercial and clinical trial agreements, in reviewing miscellaneous sales and marketing communications, in monitoring FDA policy developments and enforcement trends, in performing legal research and otherwise supporting the attorneys in providing legal advice and counsel on Demand Realization activities.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with focus on legal studies
Minimum three to four years of legal experience required
Qualified candidate must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employement visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this position.
Additional Skills/Preferences
Juris Doctorate preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
Law firm, corporate legal department, or government legal experience preferred.
Scientific and/or medical training or experience preferred.
Familiarity with regulation of marketing of pharmaceuticals preferred.
Familiarity with clinical trials preferred.
Ability to perform legal research and analysis, and experience drafting agreements considered favorably.
Ability to review and comprehend a high volume of pharmaceutical product information on a weekly basis and then to articulate and apply legal requirements of the product information (promotional and non-promotional) developed by or on behalf pharmaceutical manufacturers in the U.S.
Keen interest and ability to engage in project work that requires understanding current business processes of a given area, applying updated legal requirements and ensuring that new business processes comply with newly established legal and company requirements.
Demonstrated ability to communicate persuasively and influence a group to take a particular action or to alter course.
Formal and informal training of non-legal team members as needed to ensure a common understanding of legal requirements for product information (promotional and non-promotional) developed by or on behalf of a pharmaceutical manufacturer.
Knowledge of FDA laws and regulations governing pharmaceutical promotion preferred.
Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and communications skills required

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
